AFERS: Laaza + A Sul

Laura Aznar Grau, aka Laaza, has made her heritage her own mould; her roots, how they inspire and accompany her in all her imagination, in her life project.

She is an artist who allows herself to change, to doubt, to fall and to get back up. In an age where everything is mass-produced, she is committed to emotional craftsmanship. And that, today, is profoundly revolutionary.

After thrilling audiences with Canciones para olvidarte (2024), a collection of confessional ballads that resonated like whispers of heartbreak in empty rooms, she is now preparing for her next sonic and emotional transformation.

Laaza sings about the ambiguity of being ‘from here, and not from there’, of living in the city but feeling at home in the village. Of not renouncing her homeland; of singing about what she feels.

A Sul 's show is supported by Liveurope, the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote European emerging artists. Liveurope is co-founded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.

A Sul is an artist who explores the boundaries between her great passions: music and sound design. Following her debut EP Já Agora (2022), she is preparing to release her first full-length album, QUER QUER QUER, scheduled for release in early 2026 by Cuca Monga. In 2023, she was awarded the FNAC New Talent Award and, in 2024, she collaborated with Moullinex and Yulia Niko, a Berlin-based electronic music producer, on the track Sand, consolidating her name on the emerging music scene.

A composer and producer of her own songs, A Sul seeks to transform sound into image, giving her music a strong visual and cinematic character. The result is an immersive experience, both live and on record, in which each of the eleven tracks that will make up the new album — including the already revealed Gin, Tela and Metáforas — unfolds in evocative narratives, balancing vulnerability with a light-hearted and humoro.
