Apologia X Latin Arab Club: Soumeya + Angela Blackburn + La Louuve + Arrebo.lab

Apologia X Latin Arab Club en Barcelona - 12th september de 2026

Latin Arab Club is an experimental space and music party created by SOUMEYA (Argelia) and ANGELA BLACKBURN (Colombia), connecting the cultures of Abya Yala ("Latin America") and the SWANA region (South West Asia & North Africa).

Through music, we build a bridge between sonic traditions and emerging contemporary currents, celebrating both the unique qualities of our territories and their historical, political, and cultural connections. The project was born from the desire to create a space where our hybrid identities can exist without fragmentation, imagining the dancefloor as a real meeting point where our communities can recognise one another, mix, and celebrate together.

For this fourth edition in Barcelona, Latin Arab Club seeks to further explore the diversity and connections between our musical scenes by welcoming two new DJs: La LOUUVE (Algeria/France), whose sets move between the region’s organic sounds (raï, gnawa, dabke...) and electronic music, and ARREBO.LAB (Brazil), who blends Afro-Brazilian rhythms with latin club sounds.

A night to cross geographies, blur borders, and come together through sound.

Lineup:
Soumeya, Angela Blackburn, La Louuve, Arrebo.lab

Soumeya

Soumeya is an Algerian DJ based in Barcelona who blends the sounds of the Maghreb with the most powerful rhythms of the international club scene. Since late 2023, she has been setting dancefloors alight with bold, genre-crossing mixes.
Her sets capture the exuberant energy of Maghrebi celebrations, combining the groove of Arab and Amazigh melodies with the pulse of African rhythms, seamlessly merging them with some of the most powerful club sounds from around the world, past and present.

Angela Blackburn

Angela Blackburn, also known as Metralleta, is a DJ, producer, and activist based in Barcelona. Her career has taken her to perform in Japan, the United Kingdom, several European countries, and cities across Spain and Catalonia. She is also a resident DJ at local venues and the creator of parties with an intercultural focus.

In her sets, she blends music from the Global South, particularly African, Latin American, and electronic sounds, crossing genres that connect at their roots to create unique musical journeys full of energy, joy, and nonstop dancing. She is also the director of Cultura en Vivo, where she develops projects aimed at making Afro-diasporic cultures more visible, promoting them, and strengthening their impact.

La Louuve

Raised in western Algeria during the 2000s, La Louuve developed a deep understanding of Algerian counterculture through her extensive knowledge of the history of raï, both as a musical genre and as a way of life.

Driven by her passion for the genre, she naturally found her place behind the decks, becoming a female icon of the Algerian electronic music scene. Effortlessly moving between styles, she invites us on a journey that spans from intoxicating raï to Electro Maghreb, Afro Gnawa, Dabke, Sharqi, and Mahragan...

Arrebo.lab

Arrebo.lab is a producer and DJ originally from Brazil. His journey within music and community-driven culture began in 2012, when he moved to Dublin and became involved in projects such as Zeembass, while also taking part in various recording projects across Europe. He is currently based in Barcelona, where he has actively contributed to the local artistic scene through the organisation of events under the Bossa Nossa curatorial platform and through music co-productions with projects such as Aabstrall, Bad Milton, and Muvuka. He also hosts Radio Samambaia on RBL, a platform that reflects and amplifies his commitment to cultural exchange and the building of diverse communities.
