Apologia X Turbo Team: URI + Simply Kat + Brea + Alex Garcia + Xama + Paco Cavaller

Apologia X Turbo Team - 21st March, 2026

Turbo Team is the name that late‑night joking randomness ended up giving to what Alex Garcia, Brea, Luca Papaleo, Paco Cavaller, Uri and Xama form: six friends from Barcelona who see the art of DJing as a hobby, but who, almost unintentionally, manage to make anyone who crosses their path dance. Unlike other collectives, what brings them together isn’t a shared passion for a specific genre or sound, but a common vision of what a party is and what should happen at one. Since they started getting dates in different venues and spaces around the city, they chose to give up any financial profit, allocating the revenue from their events to various charitable causes, ensuring that the positive impact of their music goes beyond the dancefloor.

Lineup:
URI, Simply Kat, Brea, Alex Garcia, Xama, Paco Cavaller

URI

URI’s sets are always packed with breaks, electro, techno and drum & bass. His style is eclectic, blending digital formats and vinyl, aiming for the crowd to let go and connect with the music in a special way.

Simply Kat

Simply Kat is a Bulgarian DJ based in Barcelona who has been passionately doing her thing for 10 years. She was musically educated by her father, who is a musician. Later on, living in Germany and being immersed in the minimalist electronic culture further shaped her sound and perspective.

Driven by a feel for eclectic sets and a passion to present new sounds to the audience every time, Simply Kat has played in Spain, Lithuania, Germany, and Bulgaria.

Beyond DJing, she creates her own immersive events and is part of Playground Bureau, a collective that throws a yearly festival called Monkey Business.

Her selection spans the spectrum from bass-oriented genres to minimalist sounds. For Simply Kat, every set is a narrative - curated, sensorial, and crafted to resonate.

Alex Garcia

Alex Garcia is a DJ and producer from Barcelona, born in the early 1990s in the Catalan capital.

As a selector, Alex crafts immersive journeys through a wide range of 90s and 2000s genres, moving fluidly between house and electro.

Beyond the booth, in 2023 he co-founded Seguim Records alongside Vince Void, a label with four vinyl releases, where he also works on artist curation, event production, and community building.

With new releases and confirmed dates for 2026, Alex Garcia continues to push boundaries while staying deeply connected to his musical roots.

Xama

Xama is a groove explorer, unable to settle into a single style. Rather than choosing genres, he moves through them: progressive deep house, trance-tinged touches, breaks, and acidic or robotic textures are sounds that captivate him.

Lately, he’s been happily possessed by early‑90s progressive, that point in time where anthems coexisted with a latent sonic acidity within the subculture, paired with “epic‑trance” basslines. He’s also gone through intense phases influenced by sound disruptors like the mysterious DJ Metatron (aka Traumprinz), which is where his second alias, Xamatron, comes from — widely used within the collective.

Although he draws inspiration from major underground figures, his favourite artists remain —without question— the very same references that make up the Turbo Team.

Paco Cavaller

After exploring nearly all major genres of electronic music —whether dance‑oriented or contemplative— Paco Cavaller found the sound that truly fulfilled him in the echoes of 80s italo‑disco and italo‑house, and 90s trance, all reimagined within contemporary club music. Strong, synth‑driven melodies, massive drops, indie‑dance textures… Some call it italo‑trance; others, retrofuturism; some even say Italo Body Music —close friends of Turbo Team jokingly renamed it Italo Paco Music.
From hidden gems to that hit you haven’t heard in 20 years, any surprise can fit into his sets. Welcome to a world of hedonism and sonic fantasy.

Brea

Based in Barcelona, Brea’s sonic approach is as varied as his musical background. With deep roots as a bassist in jazz and heavy‑metal bands, he brings to the booth a rare rhythmic sensitivity and a natural intuition for groove.
His style is defined by a fearless eclecticism: able to build minimalist minimal‑house landscapes, immerse the dancefloor in hypnotic techno, or push the energy higher with high‑octane drum and bass.
Far from rigid labels, his sets are a fluid journey where technique meets the passion of someone who understands music from the strings all the way to the decks.
