The Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra (BGKO) is an international group of musicians based in Barcelona that has become a benchmark within the traditional music scene.
His personal reinterpretations of the music of the Balkans, the Middle East and the Mediterranean attract audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Since its inception, the BGKO has had a loyal fan base that has continued to grow. More than 22,000 CDs sold, 1,000 concerts, 70 million views and 140,000 subscribers on YouTube.
The contemporary, unique and characteristic sound of the BGKO comes from its tireless and passionate exploration of the timbres and sonorities of the Klezmer, Rom, Balkan and Mediterranean musical tradition, understood as a set of musical traditions and a multiethnic culture that goes beyond geographic borders.
The group has been nurtured by the artistic influences of each of its members, achieving a sound with its own identity.
The BGKO are: Margherita Abita (voice, Italy); Julien Chanal (Guitar, France); Ivan Kovacevic (Double Bass, Serbia); Stelios Togias (Percussion, Greece); Dani Carbonell (Clarinet, Catalonia); Oleksandr Sora (Violin, Ukraine); Pere Nolasc Turu (violin, Catalonia), and Fernando Salinas (accordion, Navarra).

Due to the restrictive measures announced by the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya regarding the prevention of COVID-19, the concert of Gipsy Balkan Orchestra scheduled for 13/01/2022 is postponed to 13/01/2023.
Tickets previously purchased will be valid for this new date.
