Michelle David is a New York-born singer based in Amsterdam who can only be described as a force of nature when it comes to performing gospel, soul, and funk. Raised in the church and seasoned on Broadway stages, her career (which has also included work as a backing vocalist for artists such as Diana Ross and Michael Bolton) spans around twenty albums across a variety of bands and projects. Among the highlights are the four gospel records released between 2015 and 2020 under the title The Gospel Sessions. More recently, however, her focus has been on the music she has recorded alongside the Dutch band The True-tones, who serve as her backing group. Together, they have arguably reached the creative and recording peak of her career, as evidenced by her two latest LPs, Brothers & Sisters (2024) and Soul Woman (2026).
