Ryan Lee West, better known as Rival Consoles, has been creating a musical shelter for those who need a moment's pause through his discography for two decades. The composer was the first signing to the Erased Tapes label, with which he has already released around fifteen albums and EPs. On the 11th April, Rival Consoles will premiere his ninth album and new live show at Sala Apolo as part of the Caprichos de Apolo, in coallition with Primavera Tours and Mutek ES.
The British’s music has fluctuated between dreamy and experimental IDM, club electro-house, complex synthesizers and minimalist and ambient elements. All undeniably beautiful. The latest singles, ‘If not now’ and ‘Gaviotas’, which will be part of the next album, continue to prove it.
Rival Consoles will not be alone: to complete the line-up he has chosen the Japanese composer and violinist Hoshiko Yamane, also a member of Tangerine Dream, and the duo Carmen Jaci and Matthew Schoen, authors of refined and playful creations based on electronic music and visual art.
In addition, Nitsa Club will extend until the early hours of the morning with DJs Flabbergast, Isa Rojas, Loidis, Spacer, Sugar Free, Tenashee (DJ Tennis & Ashee) and ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U. A night of electronic music, experimentation, versatility and fluidity of musical genres.

Think of that musician that seems impossible to you that someday will come to play in Barcelona. Or think of that cult artist who doesn’t fit into any programming cycle. Or think about that special show of a large artist in small format. Well, all of this is Caprichos de Apolo.
