In 1971, the folk group "Los Kjarkas" was bornin Capinota (a village in the Department of Cochabamba) with Gonzalo Hermosa,Wilson Hermosa, Castel Hermosa and Edgar Villarroel. They played ZambaArgentina, Bolivian music and their songs. Most of the members were notcompletely dedicated to music, so Gonzalo decided to form a new "Kjarkas"together with his brothers Ulises, Elmer and other members. In 1976, the firstKjarkas album "Bolivia" was released and since then they released anew album every year. The most popular songs in Bolivia until 1980 were"Bolivia", "Kutimuy", "Pequeño amor", "Cuandollega el amor" etc.
