David August stands before his compositions as a sculptor stands before a block of material to be carved: determined to find beauty, which of course can be expressed in many ways. Between ambient landscapes and more cerebral club music, as well as between two civilisations, Germanic and Roman, this Italian-German producer and composer fell in love with the piano at the age of five and with electronic music when he was still a teenager. He has had his years of experience as a DJ, but today he only plays his own project live, this is definitely the most stimulating way to find that: electronic beauty. When David August's immersive work pulls you in (because it does indeed end up pulling you in), you are left speechless. Anticipating reminiscences of the past and abstractions of the future.
He will be performing in Barcelona to welcome the summer: on 27th June he will be on stage at La (2) de Apolo.
