The emblematic artist of Argentine reggae, Dread Mar I, alias Mariano Castro, is touring Spain in 2023, where his latest work "YO" stands out together with his great classics.
It is a work composed, produced and recorded entirely by Mariano Castro during his confinement, in a homemade way and with a lo-fi audio search to show himself in the most direct and genuine way possible.
"YO" is the most personal work of the artist whose career has not stopped growing since his debut in 2005, until he is now recognised as the major reference of the new reggae sound in Latin America.
In 2013 he was chosen as "Best Reggae and Urban Music Album" for "Transparente" by Los Premios Gardel, Argentina. In late 2020, Dread Mar I was part of a successful collaboration with Nicki Nicole and Bizarrap.
