Festival Talent

Festival Talent will celebrate its seventh annual event. This new edition is showcasing the newest talent of Taller de Musics in one of the most popular venues of the Barcelona club scene: the Sala Apolo. The concerts will take place in this emblematic venue, in Taller de Músics 24 and the Corella Dance Academy, from June 25th to June 28th.

This year, sixteen students will be performing projects of varying styles (jazz, flamenco, rock, and more). Five days with music, jitters, excitement, dreams and, above all, TALENT!

"Viatges temàtics" travels the listener through music inspired by the Japanese film "Spirited Away" and the composer of its original soundtrack, Joe Hisaishi, who at the time managed to give the film an extremely unique, special and characteristic character. On the other hand, there is the possibility of creating a variation in the storyline of the film, which opens infinite possibilities when creating a new music to accompany the image. The concert consists of live piano music performances, but also audio-visual fragments that respond to the nature and purpose of the music presented.

Aaron Copland is considered one of the fathers of American music. His music is characterized by its simple and emotional sound, personal and popular at the same time. This concert is a tribute to this composer, a composer who defined a style of music and got what many of us tried: to reach people. "What is it that he [the composer] gives us, then? There is only one answer that I find possible: he gives himself to us": Aaron Copland.

The instrumental part of "The Beatles project" offers a musical proposal focused on the version. To carry it out, David Marqués has chosen the music of The Beatles as his theme. The idea is to turn the songs around through arrangements and re-harmonizations taken from influences from other musical genres such as funk, jazz or classical music, among others. The aim is to focus on the mythical quartet of Liverpool from a personal, alternative and different vision.

"LeBron" is a musical project based on funk, electronics and improvisation. This fusion, in the form of original songs composed by Esteve Martínez, is carried out thanks to great musicians from the Barcelona scene from areas as different as electronics, jazz or funk. With this mixture, a sincere and amusing communion is sought between the public and the environment that is generated.
