Have you ever felt as if you were witnessing the staging of the soundtrack of a movie that doesn't exist?
As if the imposing soundtrack of an imaginary film were presented to you live? As if it were the music of images yet to be designed?
Well, that's how the compositions of the British trio Gogo Penguin sound, with an emotionality and cinematic power that hardly needs words that now arrives for the first time in our country to surprise us with their original approach that fuses different styles, in a format that ranges from acoustic to electronic.
The band incorporates elements of electronic, trip-hop, rock and classical music, showing the virtuosity of its members who, on average, are under 30 years old.
We are talking about pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Rob Turner, three young exponents of the Manchester music scene who were inspired by the sounds of post jazz with references such as Brian Eno, John Cage, Philip Glass and Massive Attack, among others.
