Jambao

Jambao is a sonidera band that has remained a fixture on the tropical music scene since its debut in 1999, blending Argentine music with the sounds and rhythms of Mexican cumbia.
It was formed in Buenos Aires by Néstor Ameri, with Néstor Ameri Jr. as the singer, frontman and leading figure of the group, who had previously, in 1997, recorded several hits in Peru, including ‘Tarde’ by Juan Gabriel, ‘El Oso’ by Moris, and ‘La mochila azul’ by the Mexican artist Pedrito Fernández, amongst others.
Upon their return to Argentina, they released their album "El ruiseñor de América", which allowed them to venture into pop and ballads. This phase came to an end following a tour of Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela.
