Caprichos de Apolo presents Jon Hopkins 'Ritual' immersive album listening

Caprichos de Apolo presents for the first time an event in immersive format: the 4th of October, Sala Apolo will host the envolving sound listening of “Ritual”, the new album by keyboardist, composer and producer Jon Hopkins. An innovative concert with a unique staging as never before experienced in the venue, with the collaboration of Intorno Labs.

“Ritual”, his new work released on August 30 under the independent label Domino, is a cerimonial epic that contrasts with the previous release ‘Music for Psychedelic Therapy’. A record with cavernous bass, hypnotic drumming and transcendental merlodytic interplay that culminates the musical exploration of a 22-year career.

Jon Hopkins began his career at Imogen Heap's keyboards and later at Brian Eno's, with whom he ended up co-producing and performing on Coldplay's fourth album. He also remixed David Lynch's first electronic album “Good Day Today” / “I Know” and has produced soundtracks for films such as “Monsters” (2010) or “How I live now” (2013).

His solo career consists of seven studio albums characterized by an ambient style that navigates between visceral electronics and delicate and comforting sound through synthesizers and piano chords, including “Immunity” (2013), with a score of 8.5 on Pitchfork, or “Singularity” (2018), nominated for a Grammy for best dnace/electronic music album.
