La Pestilencia is the most emblematic punk and hardcore band in Colombia. Founded in 1986 by Dilson Diaz, the band has been a critical and rebellious voice as a way of refusing the Colombia of car bombs, hired assassins, drug trafficking and a corrupt and warlike political class that continues to this day.
