Be My Guest: Barcelona Edition x Liveurope - 13th September 2024
On September 12th and 13th, Apolo presents a very special Be My Guest!
As part of the 10th anniversary of Liveurope, we have programmed eight artists and bands in two days of concerts in showcase format where electronic, folk and pop take center stage to show the best of our house. An opportunity for music lovers to discover everything that is cooking in the Catalan and European scene both emerging and established in the territory.

Liveurope is a pan-European platform for the promotion of emerging music, of which Apolo has been a member since 2014, that is, from the very first moment. This year marks a decade promoting the circulation of artists through the 24 venues across Europe that are part of the platform. A few years during which more than 4,200 concerts have been programmed by artists of up to 40 different nationalities that have allowed the promotion of professional careers as recognized as Rosalía, Hinds, Christine and the Queens, Hania Rani, MØ or Aurora.
Maria Jaume
After filling Apolo just half a year ago, Mallorcan singer and songwriter Maria Jaume returns to the Apolo because we want more!
The release of “Nostàlgia Airlines” (2024) caused a stir in the Catalan music scene. A dance pop album that takes us with acidity, criticism and irony to life in her homeland invaded by tourists, hotels and overcrowded beaches.
With this work, Maria Jaume walks from the melancholic minimalism of her first two albums towards pop with urban and Latin sonorities through which she redefines herself and bursts again with strength. An evolution that she considers “supernatural” and that has counted with the influence and collaboration of artists such as Renaldo & Clara, Julieta or Pau Debon (Antònia Font).
Marta Knight
Marta Knight is a talent out of the ordinary. Her indie rock proposal has been gaining depth song after song, building an artist with a solid personality and composition evidenced in her debut album “Strange Times Forever” (2022).
The singer from Barcelona invites us to enter into her own vision of the world, in the sensitivity and purity of the feelings she transmits and to listen to her compulsively until the lyrics are confused with the memories.
Yaunest
Yaunest speaks with simplicity and sincerity, without frills, ornaments or expectations. Alter ego of the Empordà singer-songwriter and vocalist Jaume de Quintana, in 2022 he released his first EP “Wonder Room” with the production of b1n0.
Through sonorities close to pop and Nordic Rn'B, he creates a universe of dream and romanticism to talk about love, insecurity, frustration and the act of rebelling against what does not make us happy.
Dominik Prok
The singer of the Slovak post-punk band 52 Hertz Whale, Dominik Prok, starts his parallel solo musical path with the presentation of his first album “there is no rescue mission, we are safe”, his personal way of facing this stage of his life. That is, through music. A folk based album that combines guitar, flute, piano, bass and banjo with the intention of projecting a ray of hope among the dystopia created by oneself.
Dominik Prok's show is supported by Liveurope, the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote European emerging artists. Liveurope is co-founded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
