The thunderous music of Nova Twins exists at the exact point where punk, metal and hard rock intersect on the Venn diagram. Right where most people would recoil, Londoners Amy Love and Georgia South have found a safe space from which to overthrow the clichés of guitar music.
Two women with African and Caribbean roots grabbing urban rock by the lapels and giving it a good shake? Yes, please. The Nova Twins' revolution can be heard here and now, but the echo of their song-statement will resonate for a long time to come, they are marking the way for those new generations who want to follow them.
