Omar Apollo

Omar Apollo, a breakthrough in the music scene in an innovative and exciting way, lands at Sala Apolo in Barcelona for his "Desvelado Tour".

His unique sound has won over many people, but it has been his lyrics full of romantic longing and self-improvement coupled with expressions of cultural heritage and identity that have attracted so much attention.

With his upcoming album "Ivory", the artist referred to himself as "just a kid from Indiana", is breaking new ground, leaving all comfort zones and never looking back.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter has already been nominated for a Latin GRAMMY for his collaboration on "Te Olvidaste" with C. Tangana. 

In addition, he is preparing his debut album and remains close to creative and experimental music. R&B is still the base, but Apollo is branching out with a fusion of funk, pop, electronica, hip-hop, reggaeton, corridos… As he says, "everything".

The Mexican-American artist has had a transformative but linear journey. 

From listening to Brandy and Stevie Wonder as a kid, to playing guitar as a pre-teen, to self-releasing a couple of EPs, he established his trademark " bedroom soul” and earned him the love of fans and press, such as Pitchfork, RollingStone or The FADER magazines.

In 2020, he released his mixtape "Apolonio", which included the song that has become the favorite of all his fans, "Want U Around", and with which we can see a harbinger of what Apollo is preparing musically.
