Punkmovies

Punkmovies is a Russian punk rock band from the city of Dubna, founded in 2008. It currently consists of vocalist and lyricist Vladimir Kotlyarov, guitarist Igor Rybin, guitarist and group manager Alexander Rusakov, drummer Kirill Muravyov and bassist Alexander Agafonov.

The band is distinguished from other Russian punk rock bands by its strongly politicized lyrics, as well as the promotion of a healthy lifestyle: all its members are vegetarians and do not use any kind of drugs.

The band was popular in Dubna in the early years of their performances, and after the release of their fourth album "In the range between despair and hope" and the cancellation of several concerts at the insistence of local authorities, they became more famous and one of the main punk groups in Russia. They currently have 13 releases, including 8 studio albums and 5 mini-albums, their latest studio album is "This Will Pass" (2020).
