Saramalacara is the alias of Sara Azul Froján, an Argentine songwriter, singer, and producer. She is one of the most innovative artists in the contemporary music scene, with a universe that combines trap, cloud rap, electronic music, and a performative and conceptual relationship with the internet. Her albums build emotional and geographical maps that reflect her identity and her outlook on the world.
In 2021, with the single ""Guchi Polo"" and the EP USB IDOL, Saramalacara opened up new possibilities for rethinking pop within the contemporary pulse of trap. The following year she released eclips3, a six-track EP that condensed her neo-Gothic universe with a more polished sensibility, leading her to tour Argentina, Mexico, and Spain. In 2024 she released her debut full-length album, Heráldica, presented alongside her own video game, a baptism, and a rave. Featuring collaborations with Hatsune Miku and Yung Beef, the album laid out an emotional and generational manifesto, expanded by its deluxe version, Heráldica+, and the documentary Cuando más feliz era.
A year later, she released MATADEROS through Interscope Capitol Records, an album recorded between Buenos Aires and Los Angeles that finds her working alongside producers such as F1lthy, Lucian, Lukrative, Ojivolta, Dylan Brady, Casey MQ, Aaron Shadrow, Evilgiane, and Eera. With this album, she deepens her universe between cloud rap and contemporary rage, bridging the Argentine scene with the sound of a new generation of producers who are redefining trap, electronic music, and experimental pop on a global scale today.
