The Pharcyde were breaking boundaries on the West Coast in the early 90’s, when Gangsta Rap dominated the hip hop scene. The group stayed true to their jazzy sound and witty lyrics.
Their classic debut album ‘Bizarre Ride II Pharcyde’ was released 30 years ago and has been a major influence on generations that came up after them.
On their second album "Labcabincalifornia", the late great J Dilla (Jay Dee) took care of the majority of the production with classics such as "Runnin’’ and "Drop". The group is easily up there with groups such as "A Tribe Called Quest" and "De La Soul".
This is the first time in over 15 years that 3 original members are touring Europe and they couldn’t leave Barcelona out of their schedule. Expect all the classics such as "Drop", "Runnin’’, "Oh Shit" and "Otha Fish"!
