Melam is a cultural collective that showcases global artists and creators with local roots. Founded by Barcelona based creatives, Sejal Parekh, a British-Indian interdisciplinary artist and Davina Rajoopillai, a British Sri- Lankan a creative and cultural consultant.

An Ode to Home, Melam's inaugural event explores the deep connections between creativity and the concept of home. Enjoy live performances, panel discussions, visual narratives, and culinary delights, culminating with a DJ set featuring Bad Bunny's latest album, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," a heartfelt tribute to Puerto Rico, his very own Ode To Home.

Join us to feel the heartbeat of the homeland through the stories of artists and cultural leaders who transform distance into creation.


Imani Naki, a 25-year-old multidisciplinary creative and entrepreneur in Barcelona, ​​founded DAR® and DAR® Studio to empower young creatives from the diaspora. Through workshops, mentorship, and professional development, she creates safe spaces where cultural identity and self-expression flourish. With DAR Studio, she connects brands with diverse youth cultures globally, driving social impact and a sense of belonging. For Imani, it’s not just about business; it’s about making a meaningful impact and fostering a sense of belonging for her own generation.


Sofia Archer Lab is a collective project that reimagines fashion as a tool for emancipation and community creation. More than a clothing brand, it's a creative laboratory committed to a sustainable, artisanal, and relatable production model with a human and gender-based approach. From her workshop, Sofia designs limited-edition collections on demand and offers custom sewing services, fostering emotional connections with garments and new forms of personal expression.


Gabriela Gallego is a cultural curator and host of Gabs Away, a platform born from her passion for connecting people and creating purposeful multicultural experiences. With over five years of experience in the tourism industry in cities like Berlin, Miami, and Barcelona, ​​she discovered that her true interest lay in building community. Thanks to her experience in communication, languages, content creation, and marketing, she has successfully launched and sold out events that showcase local artists and businesses. Her work has been featured on platforms such as Las Morenas in Spain and the Un Tallat Amb podcast by Barcelona Metropolitan.


Vignesh Melwani (Barcelona, ​​1995) is a multidisciplinary artist who fuses singing, piano, Kathak dance, and composition. He published Improvisuals (2023) and performs at festivals such as BAM and Furiasia. He forms a duo with Carla Motis and collaborates on artistic and community projects such as Barcelona Coral Asia. He is also a researcher and cultural manager focused on South Asian culture, accessibility, and diversity, with a background in Humanities, Music, and the Performing Arts.
