"Hand luggage" is a dialogue between the poet Vera Polozkova and the composer Alexander Manotskov, a mixture of their personal archives and the stories to which they are eyewitnesses.
It is a mixture of their confessions about life before the war. Yes, it's about what we really took with us when we left. Vera Polozkova: "We sing and read about what you feel when the world cracks under your feet".
It's about war, loss and gratitude, hope and despair. It's about memory; about what you have left when it's all gone and what can't be taken away from you while you're alive.
