Yo La Tengo have been on a speed run for nearly four decades, and so far, they're still winning.
The trio's latest victory is called "This Stupid World", a riveting set of songs in which Kaplan, Georgia Hubley and James McNew resist the ticking clock. This music is not so much timeless as it is time-defying.
The band is back on the road to present this new work and the hits from their extensive career that remain just as enduring with the passage of time.
