AFERS: Cloe Riembau + MALVA

This event is part of the new Afers concert series, a meeting of worlds between a local artist and a European artist that takes place at La CINC in an intimate, intimate setting. This initiative brings together two artistic proposals that share a musical genre in one event, one Friday a month, with the aim of discovering emerging talent on the current music scene.

With an emotional yet intimate offering, Cloe Riembau is the latest treasure to emerge from the inexhaustible musical hotbed that is the Empordà region. This young singer-songwriter from Bisbal d'Empordà has now completed her debut album, ‘Equilibris sense xarxa’, produced by Aleix Bou with the support of Jaume Pla (Mazoni).

This album follows her recent victory in the Sona 9 competition, but it is the culmination of a meteoric rise that, in just three years, has taken her from being a cover singer to focusing on her own songwriting, carving out a profile with a unique style that brings her close to international indie-pop references.

MALVA 's show is supported by Liveurope the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote European emerging artists. Liveurope is co-founded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.

MALVA is the solo project of Carolina Viana, an artist from Viana do Castelo now based in Porto, who began her musical journey alongside producer Joana Rodrigues in the duo redoma. Born from the desire to find her own voice and explore a more personal artistic identity, MALVA has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices in Portugal’s new music scene.

Her debut album, vens ou ficas (2023), was widely acclaimed by critics and featured on several lists of the best Portuguese albums of the year. In January 2025, she released poros, a record that marks a new chapter in her career: more open and collaborative, while retaining the intimate and emotional sensitivity that defines her artistic universe.
