It seems like an easy joke because she is the daughter of filmmakers dedicated to the world of documentary, but the life of Alice Phoebe Lou is on the way to deserving a documentary. She was born in South Africa 27 years ago and at 14 she was already taking photos at concerts, although by then she was already playing the piano and had learned to pick up the guitar on her own.
At 17 she spent the summer holiday in Paris to visit a relative of hers, but she liked the city so much that she convinced a friend to move there together. After a season in France, she returned home to return shortly after to Europe. She started to earn some money singing in the streets of Amsterdam and Berlin, and it is already known that there are no campaigns or tricks that are worth there: either you catch or the public passes by.
Two albums later, the stages that she steps on are no longer those of any sidewalk, but the essence is the same. Alice Phoebe Lou sings and whoever is in front of her is trapped by her author song, pop in her punch and jazzy in her spirit.
It will happen again with the arrival of Glow, her third album, a work born out of a quarantine, clearly a very strange context for an artist who has toured non-stop around the world. She spent more time than ever alone with herself, she distanced herself from her friends, shaved her head. And she poured out her "feelings, experiences, and most personal realizations" on Glow, the album that will bring her back to our stage.

Minor Entry
