Apologia X Latin Arab Club: Angela Blackburn + Soumeya + Hajar + Piti Vaccari

Apologia X Latin Arab Club - 07th March, 2026

Latin Arab Club is an experimental space and musical party created by Soumeya (Algerian DJ) and Ángela (Colombian DJ) that connects the cultures of Abya Yala (“Latin America”) and the SWANA region. Through music, we build a bridge between sonic traditions and new contemporary currents, celebrating both the uniqueness of our territories and their historical, political, and cultural connections. The project was born from the desire to create a space where our hybrid identities can exist without fragmentation, imagining the dance floor as a real meeting place where our communities can recognize each other, blend, and celebrate together.

In this second edition in Barcelona, Latin Arab Club places the talent and creative power of the women in our communities at the center. It will be a celebration true to our essence and our reality: moving rhythms, sounds that dialogue between heritage and futurism, beats that invite enjoyment, and food from our lands, thanks to the participation of KIMA and Gazzawi Cuisine. We gather to create a space where the women of Abya Yala and SWANA are not only present but lead the sonic narrative of the night. A dance floor understood as shared territory: a place of encounter, celebration, and community. We look forward to having you with us!

Angela Blackburn

Angela Blackburn, also known as Metralleta, is a Barcelona-based DJ, producer, and activist whose career has taken her to perform in Japan, the United Kingdom, several European countries, and cities across Spain and Catalonia. She is also a resident in local venues and the creator of interculturally focused party concepts.

In her sets, she blends music from the Global South—especially African, Latin American, and electronic sounds—crossing genres that connect from the root to craft unique musical journeys filled with energy, joy, and nonstop dancing.

She is also the director of Cultura en Vivo, where she develops projects aimed at highlighting, promoting, and strengthening Afro-diasporic cultures.

Soumeya

An Algerian DJ based in Barcelona, Soumeya blends the sounds of the Maghreb with the most powerful rhythms of the international club scene. Since late 2023, she has been winning over dance floors with bold mixes that cut across genres and eras. Her sets channel the overflowing energy of Maghreb celebrations, the groove of Arab and Amazigh melodies, and the pulse of African rhythms, merging seamlessly with the most potent sounds of club culture.

Hajar

Originally from the border city of Melilla and now based in Barcelona, Hajar has been shaped by the rich intersectionality of Spanish and Moroccan culture.

A passionate collector of raï works in their most authentic and experimental forms, as well as rare vinyls, house music, and disco.

Through her music, she reflects her own life of exchanges, mixed identity, and shared struggles, while also creating an inclusive space where diversity is celebrated.

Piti Vaccari

Piti Vaccari (ARG) is a resident DJ of the Fiesta WACHA collective and a member of the AKA ROMEA project alongside Flor Linyera. With over 10 years of experience, she is a pioneer and a leading female figure of the Latin nightlife scene in Europe.

Known for her ability to blend genres and craft dynamic sets, her unique style combines Afro-Latin rhythms with modern urban music influences.

She has shared the stage with artists such as Kumbia Queers, Tribade, and Sara Hebe, and performs regularly at some of the most important venues across Europe.
