MUTEK Nocturne 2 will host on Saturday at Astin the live performance of Jlin, one of the most distinctive producers and composers in America and one of the most influential women in electronic music due to her exciting, emotive, and multidimensional work; Iglooghost, a UK-based artist who creates music, artworks and puzzles that gravitate around a fictional ecosystem of strange entities and tiny gods; HiTech, the trio putting a modern twist on Detroit’s electrifying ghettotech sound; Jehia, a Cairo-born, Barcelona-based DJ who has developed a unique style that is both dark and highly energetic; and DJ Metaforas, the alias under which Frankie Pizá seeks to alleviate his most rhythmic and eclectic impulses.
