Sud Sound System are pioneers of Italian reggae and leading exponents of the so-called Salento reggae sound, a fusion of southern Italian culture with reggae and dancehall influences. Since their debut in 1991, they have brought their music to stages across Europe, becoming key figures in the genre thanks to anthems such as Comu na petra, Reggae Party, and Lontano (Le radici ca tieni).

After more than three decades of career, the group continues to reinvent its sound while staying true to its roots. In 2026, they celebrate 35 years of music with a new international tour and collaborations that connect their reggae heritage with contemporary sounds.
