With the emotional electronics of Californian Scott Hansen, which aims at both the head and the feet, it is easy to travel from one place to another without leaving home. Sometimes it takes us to places we have already been, other times, even destinations that we have never visited. On some occasions, it is even capable of mixing everything: who says that you can't feel nostalgia for a place that you don't know yet, for a time that you haven't experienced?
In 2006 we learned that of course you can when he released Past Is Prologue, his first album, full of songs that seemed to have been imagined by Instagram filters long before they existed. Since then, reality has passed through Tycho's hands to be molded with warm colors and infinite horizons, transporting him to unimaginable heights (two Grammy nominations, the Billboard 200 sales list, even some viral hits). Infinite Health, their recently released sixth album, aims to “create a space for healing and reflection,” as its author explained, and in the process he has tried “to sound as different as possible without giving up our roots.” All from the hand, it should be added, of Chris Taylor (member of Grizzly Bear), who co-produced the album with Hansen.
Once again, Tycho's new album will allow us to accompany him on a new journey, with a concert at the Apolo room in Barcelona on March 26.
