In mid-February, Porridge Radio opened a new era by releasing "Back to the Radio", the first single from their forthcoming album, "Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to the Sky".
“I wrote it at the end of 2019. The song grew out of a feeling of intense loneliness and being unprepared for what everybody was promising me was about to happen”, said the band's frontwoman, a vocalist of the lineage of PJ Harvey, Karen O and Adrianne Lenker.
What was about to happen at that moment for the Brighton band was the release of "Every Bad", one of the great finds of 2020, which they were meant to show off all around the world.
But the tour of this album of electrified, visceral indie couldn't happen: the pandemic has twice denied us a live encounter with Porridge Radio.
Finally, it will happen as part of a Spanish tour, with dates that will serve as a presentation of "Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder to the Sky", the album they have announced together with the release of "Back to the Radio", which promises to confirm all the anticipation generated by "Every Bad".
